Inspiration behind the Design:
Ok, I will start off with a bible verse to underline this design and then I will get into the awesome story that really inspired me to make this design. Acts 5:41 says “The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.” it simply says “The name.” So, here’s the crazy story this is based off of that I heard first hand from the guy who it happened to. One day this guy in the United States is driving down the road and he’s minding his own business. Next thing you know this guy has a medical episode, blacks out, drives off the shoulder, and wraps the car around a tree. So this Christian guy that was trailing this other guy in his car is the only other driver to witness this horrific accident and stops on the side of the road to make sure this guy is OK. When he opens the driver’s door the driver had been whacked in the head with bricks from a mailbox he’d smashed through. His legs were at 90 degree angles, bones sticking out. The Christian guy pulls him out of the car, lays him on the ground and says to the guy, “I come in the Name.” Instantly the guy levitates off the ground, his body straightens out, his bones all snap back into place, the guy floats back to the ground, the guy gains consciousness and sits up and says, “what happened?” The Christian guy tells him Jesus healed him and then walks over to the dude’s car. Says to it, “You too.” And the car pops back every dent and bang and becomes like it was brand new.
The guy that tells this story mentions during this story that God had been teaching him what it meant to be “in the name” which is obviously the message of this design. Personally I don’t have that revelation yet. I have no idea what sort revelation he got that he discovered by simply being in the Name of Jesus that he could levitate people and fix cars like that, but I mean I think I get the gist. So that’s why I created this design. Because everywhere we go we go in the Name. As you wear this hoodie you can be conscious of it, and continually think about what it means to be in the name, and pray that God takes you deeper into the revelation of what it means to be in the Name.
