Inspiration behind the Design:
I heard a teaching on the gospel last week that had never been laid out for me quite ike it ever before. And the message that I received from that was this: ‘The gospel doesn’t end with God being love. The gospel ends, when WE become love.’ To me that was spectacularly profound. I’d never ever thought it about it in this way and the huge repercussions that it brings. To me it was quite extraordinary. And when I realised that, I thought, how foolish we as the church have been. We’ve believed that God is love, and that is enough, and if people knew that God loved them that they had freewill to choose him. Nah. That’s so wrong. We are his bride and we are his body. WE are called to look just like him. It was with this understanding when I reflected on the idea whereby we tell people at Easter and other times of the year, “God loves you, or Jesus loves you.” That’s OK. But how about us? Do we love them like Jesus loves them? That when I decided, no more am I gonna tell people that Jesus loves them. I’m going to show them Jesus loves them.
It's funny as I was designing a shirt that says “I love you” it just came to me out of the blue, I love you like Kanye loves Kanye. I came to this funny idea of if there was another translation of John 15:13 that said: “Greater Love has no man than this, this he would love his neighbour like Kanye loves Kanye.” 🤣
