Inspiration behind the Design:
This to me, is such a boss verse. This is coming from God to Joshua, and it’s like God just saying, I got you. That land which technically doesn’t really belong to you, it’s yours. I mean, if you were to think about it, in today’s terms, that is basically like God saying to you or me, “Hey man, go and take over the Trump Tower, they’re just gonna give it to you, there won’t be no trouble.” I mean but it was on a bigger sale than that! This was the promised Land! The land overflowing with milk and honey and giant crops! I mean I’m trying to demonstrate it for you in terms of something we could fathom and piece of real estate that is valuable. I guess you could say, it would be like God giving us Billionaires Row on Grand Central park New York. I mean it’s crazy! And God did that! I just love that God was so one-sided in this commandment you know. The reason I made it a design is because that is still our promise today. We are meant to live in blessing and favour and the earth belongs to the lord and the fullness thereof. As we are supposed to govern our cities, this verse just seemed to be one of the better verses in the bible to describe our duty to take possession of the Land, and I don’t mean physically but spiritually. It’s your land when you take possession and ownership of it and when you do that you are bale to govern it how you see fit.
